Albert Bausch studied business economics at Tilburg University. He applied his specialization, customer satisfaction management, within the banking organisation S.W.I.F.T. in Brussels and within the former family company Bausch Datacom. In this company he was responsible for the internet department in 1994/1995 and co-founder of Infoboard, one of the first internet service providers in Belgium and the Netherlands, later acquired by Wanadoo).
In 1997 Albert and his brother Alex started the internet consultancy firm i-Concept, and advised customers like GE Information Services, KPN Multimedia, AT&T Unisource and the Ministry of Education about inter/intranet technology and e-learning in particular.
During 1999 the focus shifted towards the development and support of internet concepts and following low barrier e-HRM applications:
e-Recruitment: Arbeidsmarkt.com (Dutch jobsite) and eWork.nl (e-business jobs & projects).
Intranet: i-Engine.net, customizable modular intranets for SME, and
e-Learning: e-learning authoring environment Studywiser.com

i-Concept represents over 16 years of experience in Technology Based Training, from the early BBS-days to the present of sophisticated web based e-learning solutions. i-Concept provided the exploitation management in EU project IDEALS, web consultancy and development for the Dutch Ministery of Education and was partner several project with Dutch educational institutions. In 1999 i-Concept initiated the elearning concept Studywiser.com, based on 3 elementary principles:

cost-effective by reuse options and
compatibility with future technology and 3rd party vendors by dbase & XML orientation.
